Onboarding

Prepare for your Talk2Tally onboarding.

Guided onboarding is a single working session. A few things ready in advance make it smooth — and keep the owner and accountant in the room while we set things up.

Before the session

Please keep ready

  • Tally PC access (the office PC where Tally runs).
  • Tally is running on that PC, with the company you want to connect open.
  • Stable internet connection on the Tally PC.
  • Owner WhatsApp number confirmed.
  • Accountant or second-user WhatsApp number, if applicable.
  • Your top 5 questions you want to ask first (sales, dues, stock, GST, cash, etc.).
  • Permission preference: owner only, or owner + accountant.
During the session

What happens during onboarding

One guided session with our team. Most standard onboardings complete in a single session once Tally access is available.

Scan secure QR & connect the edge agent

We share a secure QR. Scanning links your Tally system to Talk2Tally through our edge agent. No complex IT project, no Tally configuration changes.

Verify the right Tally company

We confirm the exact Tally company file you want connected — important if you maintain multiple companies on the same PC.

Add WhatsApp users

Owner WhatsApp first, then any additional approved user (typically the accountant).

Configure permissions

Decide who can ask what. Owners can be given full read-only access; selected users can be limited to specific reports or scopes.

Test first questions

We test your top business questions live on your own Tally data — sales, outstanding, cash, ledgers, GST.

Explain audit log & safety

We walk you through the audit log so you can see exactly what every user has asked and when.

Confirm support channel

You leave the session knowing exactly how to reach us on WhatsApp for any follow-up question.

Activation milestone

Onboarding is successful when the owner can ask and receive useful answers to at least five real business questions.

We deliberately don't end the session at “the connector is connected.” We end it when you, the owner, have answers to the questions you actually need. Suggested first five:

  • Aaj ka sale kitna hua?
  • Top outstanding customers?
  • Current cash aur bank balance?
  • Sharma Trading ka ledger dikhao.
  • Is mahine ka GST payable?
